SportyKids is OSCAR approved. This means if you are eligible for the Working for Families tax credit then you may apply for a discount in your fees with SportyKids.
Sportykids requires a $50.00 deposit from you to confirm your child’s spot in the programme.
Work and Income pay SportyKids directly, and on reconciliation if there is any outstanding money owed, SportyKids will be in contact with you for the balance.

In September 2010, the income people could earn to qualify for Childcare or OSCAR Subsidies was reduced.
A number of people who were already receiving the subsidies* have continued to qualify based on the earlier income threshold.
Two changes are happening:
1. The income threshold changes introduced in 2010 will apply to everyone from 9 February 2015.
2. There’s one change that’s in effect already. If someone applies, at any time, for assistance for a child for whom they hadn’t received a Childcare or OSCAR subsidy on or before 7 February 2014, this subsidy will be assessed at the new income threshold levels.

Most people won’t be affected by the change, but there’s a small group who will have their subsidy reduced or stopped.
Work and Income will contact anyone whose subsidy may be affected from next year. In addition, they’ll talk to anyone applying for a subsidy for a child starting childcare or OSCAR for the first time this year if there are any changes for them.
